Youth Formation Christ Church offers a handful of options for youth 6th through 12th grade. There are in-church offerings for every age group, as well as an ecumenical offering that meets during the school year. The Journey to Adulthood is a complete youth ministry program of spiritual formation for 6th -12th grades. This program uses the Bible study, prayer, rites of passage, outreach ministries to underscore a child’s path to adulthood. There are three two-year segments of the program: Rite-13: The first two years (6th/7th or 7th/8th graders) focus on celebrating the individuality of each person and their creative potential. The Rite-13 liturgy is the community expression of this and a rite of passage form childhood towards adulthood. J2A: The middle portion of the program (8th/9th or 9th/10th graders), engages youth with the skills and critical thinking involved in adulthood. The youth plan and embark on a pilgrimage together at the end of this segment. 4Ward: This is a mentor-based program that helps older teens (11th/12th graders) discern and carry out a ministry within their church and the larger community. A final rite of passage sends into the world as ambassadors of Christ. Ecumenical Youth Group The ecumenical youth group meets every first and third Sunday at 5-6:30. The group is a collaboration between four churches (Christ Church, Trinity Lutheran, United Methodist, and First Presbyterian) in the community. • Cody Cupboard | Christ Church-Cody

Cody Cupboard Cody Cupboard is a local outreach and food pantry program founded in the 1980s to offer food assistance to those in need. Throughout the years, many Christ Church members have been involved with the Cupboard as volunteers and board members. Volunteers are trained and asked to cover one afternoon a month at the Cupboard where they assist clients with selecting grocery items or help to make appointments. Christ Church has covered the cost of renting the Cody Auditorium for this food drive for years. Most food items are bought at Albertsons, which has been very supportive over the years. Other food and household items on the shelves are donated by individuals, churches, organizations, and businesses. • Hands and Hearts | Christ Church-Cody

Hands and Hearts "Blankets for Babies began in June 2012, when I received a large donation of baby flannel. Not knowing what to do with it, I created the first 20 blankets and took them to the Park County Public Health nurses. When I arrived, they were overjoyed - they had just found out that their funding had been cut and they would no longer be able to purchase receiving blankets for their home visits for new mothers in Powell and Cody. So, I made them a promise - that I would keep the blankets coming. I have been able to keep that promise, thanks to many talented folks, a few donations, and many hours behind a sewing machine. Let's keep those blankets coming! In the past 8 years, we have made over 1400 blankets for little ones in our county. Volunteers of all ages donate their time and talent to this amazing project. We survive on donations from generous people like you." "We have expanded in 2018 to include Freedom Quilts and in 2019 Final Salute Quilts to our original Blankets for Babies." The Rev. Chris Galagan, Deacon, Christ Church Cody
