    Absaroka Senior Living Ministries Christ Church leads a worship service at Absaroka Senior Living every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. The service follows a similar structure to our Sunday Eucharist, featuring music, scripture readings, and a sharing of communion. We also visit Absaroka at special times during the year including Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and Advent caroling. ​ We invite Christ Church parishioners to join Absaroka residents in this ministry.   • Wyoming Service Corps | Christ Church-Cody

    Wyoming Service Corps- On Sacred Ground Wyoming Service Corps-On Sacred Ground is a program in the Episcopal Service Corps network. WSC-OSG hosts young adults for a year of spiritual formation, meaningful nonprofit work, and vocational discernment. ​ Corps-members are placed across the Cody community where they work with local nonprofits. In exchange, the program provides housing and financial-stability, as well as additional resources. ​ The Wyoming Service Corps is a program envisioned, created, and supported by Christ Church Cody in partnership with the national network.   • Northwest Healthcare | Christ Church-Cody

    Northwest Healthcare Northwest Health Care is a non-profit, private organization which seeks to provide high-quality and affordable healthcare, specializing in reproductive health and infection prevention practices. ​ The vision of Northwest Health Care, per their website: ​ "Northwest Health Care will contribute to the success of our communities by exceeding expectations while providing quality, life-saving health care for all." Christ Church partners with NWHC by helping to fund their emergency medical assistance program by providing $200 medical vouchers. In 2023, Christ Church and NWHC have worked in a coalition to create Cody's first LGBTQ+ color run during Pride 2023. ​ NWHC operates in Cody and Powell and is open throughout the week.   • Youth Formation | Christ Church-Cody

    Youth Formation Christ Church offers a handful of options for youth 6th through 12th grade. There are in-church offerings for every age group, as well as an ecumenical offering that meets during the school year. The Journey to Adulthood is a complete youth ministry program of spiritual formation for 6th -12th grades. This program uses the Bible study, prayer, rites of passage, outreach ministries to underscore a child’s path to adulthood. There are three two-year segments of the program: Rite-13: The first two years (6th/7th or 7th/8th graders) focus on celebrating the individuality of each person and their creative potential. The Rite-13 liturgy is the community expression of this and a rite of passage form childhood towards adulthood. ​ J2A: The middle portion of the program (8th/9th or 9th/10th graders), engages youth with the skills and critical thinking involved in adulthood. The youth plan and embark on a pilgrimage together at the end of this segment. ​ 4Ward: This is a mentor-based program that helps older teens (11th/12th graders) discern and carry out a ministry within their church and the larger community. A final rite of passage sends into the world as ambassadors of Christ. Ecumenical Youth Group The ecumenical youth group meets every first and third Sunday at 5-6:30. The group is a collaboration between four churches (Christ Church, Trinity Lutheran, United Methodist, and First Presbyterian) in the community.     Heart Mountain Free Clinic The Heart Mountain Free Clinic began as a dream of Episcopalians of Park County. Christ Church supports the clinic today in multiple ways. Up until COVID-19, Christ Church provided food and hospitality to the workers. The Free Clinic is one of the biggest recipients of Bargain Box grants. The two have been partnered for over five years on formal anti-poverty work such as the poverty simulation and Building a Brighter Future Today. ​ For more information regarding the Wyoming Service Corps, refer to their website .

  • Bargain Box and Grants | Christ Church-Cody

    Bargain Box The Bargain Box is an outreach ministry of Christ Church with the intent of providing affordable clothing and furniture the community of Cody. The stores are managed by Emma Melbraaten. ​ At the Bargain Box Clothing Store, you can find new and gently used clothing and footwear for all ages. Items are priced to sell. Bargain Box staff adds new items each day. The store is located at 1231 13th Street and can be contacted at (307) 587-6666. ​ The Bargain Box Furniture Store sells high quality, gently used furniture at reasonable prices. In the store you can find a wide variety of goods, such as: books, videos/DVDs, records, kitchen/household, crafts, electronics, child related items and toys and much more. The store is located at 1537 Beck Avenue and can be contacted at (307) 587-6333. ​ Both stores are open 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. ​ Bargain Bucks Voucher Program: The Bargain Box Thrift Stores, in partnership with area community organizations, offers special need and emergency vouchers that can be used to purchase clothing and other necessary items. Bargain Box Proceeds and Grant Forms: Proceeds from the Bargain Box Clothing & Furniture Stores are returned to non-profit organizations in the community by way of the Bargain Box Grant Program. This program is administered by the Mission Committee of Christ Episcopal Church. As of September 2022, the yearly total was over $98,000 in grants. ​ To apply, use the attached grant form .

  • Fellowship Ministries | Christ Church-Cody

    Fellowship Ministries The Fellowship Ministry oversees congregational activities and sponsors special events. Its role is to “create fellowship opportunities for a variety of age groups." Offerings throughout the year include the coffee hour, Ministry Fair, Cookie Extravaganza, Christmas caroling and pizza, Easter brunch, and other offerings. ​ The Fellowship Ministry also maintains the Fellowship Store, which started in July 2012 with the sale of Christ Church Logo mugs. Items are sold on select Sundays and by request. The store carries mugs, shirts, books written by Christ Church parishioners, and many other items! ​ Coffee Hour Coffee Hour is a Sunday morning fellowship opportunity between services and after the second service in which you can enjoy coffee and snacks together. Offerings vary throughout the year and all are welcome to participate, with the sign up always available in the Parish Hall. ​ Christ Church Kitchen The Christ Church Kitchen is fully equipped and diligently maintained by members of the church in order to always meet the needs of fellowship and formation events.​

  • Food 4 Kids | Christ Church-Cody

    Food 4 Kids Food 4 Kids is a collaborative ministry between First Presbyterian Church Cody and Christ Church, with assistance from private donors. ​ Food 4 Kids started in 2013 in order to address food insecurity in the schools, as some students were dependent on school lunches and would go hungry on the weekends. Members of the two churches came together to create a backpack program, which would send kids home with a bag of food for the weekend. ​ The food is stored at FPC Cody and Christ Church takes bags of donated food weekly. We encourage you to help out whenever you can by bringing food to the church to fill bags.   • Ministry Fair | Christ Church-Cody

    Ministry Fair The Ministry Fair is an annual showcase in the parish hall of the ministries and partnerships of Christ Church. The fair is a wonderful opportunity to learn about all the ministries working both within Christ Church and out in the community. ​ Attendees are able to visit different booths and speak with members to learn more about the work of the specific ministry and to get involved. The event features music and a silent auction as an opportunity for buying and selling arts and goods from our parish. Proceeds from the auction are donated back to the church on behalf of Christ Church Fellowship ministries.

  • Little Explorer's Preschool | Christ Church-Cody

    Little Explorer's Preschool Little Explorer's Preschool is a partner of Christ Church Cody and shares space on our campus. Christ Church allows Little Explorer's to use space for $1 a year and partners together for fellowship and other special events. ​ "Our cooperative program at Little Explorers Preschool centers on providing an intentional play-based, child-centered learning environment with the support of both teachers and parents. Our program encourages independence and helps children increase their understanding of self, other people, and the world around them. We are committed to helping each child develop positive social skills and be resourceful. We strive to cultivate joyful, active learners who become confident and ethical citizens.
