Christ Episcopal Church

Dear Parish Family,

Summer worship for many of us includes time on the river, hiking the hills and gathering with our families at camp-
grounds. We are drawn to the land, to encounter the beautyof creation and the spiritual power of the landscape. Summer worship at Christ Church invites us to weave our communal Christian worship together with our deep felt sense of connection with the land and wilderness. At 8 and 10 in the morning on Sundays we’ll be moving to
the historic “Poker Church” for a more intimate worship that feels connected with those who have forged the road for us in generations past. We are anticipating a wonderful “revival” at our July 6th historic service that this year will celebrate the traditions from 19th century tent meetings. Our kick off service at Wayfarer’s Chapel (on the road to Yellowstone) on June 1st at 10:30 will be followed by a parish family picnic which might set the tone for your own worshipful family picnics this summer. Beginning Sunday the 8th you can weave your spirituality of the wilderness with Episcopal common prayer at Wayfarer’s Chapel at our weekly 10 am service. We will continue to offer our 5:30 Family Service beginning on the 15th of June. Each month our music will feature a different musical tradition. In June, we will be highlighting bluegrass and traditional Southern Gospel music. Our family services conclude with an ad-hoc bring your own picnic and acoustic jam session. Worship alone in the beauty of holiness, worship in camp with your family, worship in love with your extended family at Christ Church, Cody, this summer.
Peace,
Mary
